Freedom Schools

This historical concept is re-created each summer in Minneapolis and in cities accross the country. They provide african babies (african american youth) with an afro-centric enriched educational experience. The program supplements mainsteam education that children recieve during the school year with other vital aspects that may be missing, but that are equally important and necessary to their growth, development and formation of identity. Perhaps we can get some of the kids in the local program to contribute a project to the Liberator or have the volunteer teachers come up with something...???
