Auroral Alert for Feb 17th and 18th

Several Solar events have occurred and the disturbances should reach Earth sometime on the 17th or 18th of Feb. Watch the short term auroral forecast for a 1 hour warning. We would expect auroral index 4 or more.

[gse-aa] Auroral Alert

There were two "M-class" events on the sun on the 7th of March. We estimate that the effects of these events will reach Earth on the 9th and 10th of March. This should produce magnetic activity leading to Kp=4. This corresponds to our auroral index = 4. Check the forecast page maps appropriate to your area to see if the aurora would be visible to you. Then watch the short term forecast to know when to go out and look for the aurora
